Lights & Headlamps

Many productive digs happen in low light. Reliable lighting makes it easier to identify shows, handle gear, and move safely around the beach.

Use a Headlamp

A headlamp keeps both hands available for a shovel or clam gun and points light where you are looking.

Bring a Backup

Salt spray, batteries, and accidental drops can disable a light. Carry a small backup flashlight or second headlamp.

Protect Night Vision

Use enough light to see the sand clearly without constantly shining bright beams toward other diggers.
