Mocrocks is regularly included in Washington's scheduled razor clam openings and can provide excellent digging when conditions are favorable. Always check the latest schedule and confirm final approval before traveling to the beach.
Mocrocks can be reached from several public beach access points along the coast. Popular access areas are located near Ocean City, Pacific Beach, and Moclips, giving diggers several options for reaching the open beach.
Access conditions can change with tides, storms, erosion, and soft sand. Use established beach approaches, follow posted restrictions, and check conditions before taking a vehicle onto the beach.
Parking varies by access point, with parking available near some public beach approaches and vehicle access available on portions of the beach when conditions and regulations permit.
Parking areas and approaches can become busy during popular razor clam openings. Arrive early so you have time to park, prepare your equipment, and reach your digging area before the best part of the tide.
Facilities vary along the Mocrocks digging area. Restrooms and other services may be available at developed beach access points and in nearby communities such as Pacific Beach and Moclips.
Bring what you need for the dig, including warm and waterproof clothing, drinking water, a light for evening openings, a clam container, and your clam gun or shovel.
